This MP3 kit was developed to replace the complete CD changer unit in your NSM ES V.1 jukebox with the MP3 player. In just a few minutes, without modifying the jukebox. This kit simulates a CD player, so all the functions of the jukebox are retained.
The NSM5MP3 kit is a microcomputer controlled hard disk player that replaces the complete CD changer unit in your NSM ES V.1-CD technology jukebox.
The hard disk player works in all jukeboxes with the MBC III CD changer unit or when the ES-V.1 EPROM item no. # 178 238 is installed.
Unlike PC-based MP3 players, which require modification of the jukebox, require special software and operating systems and take far too long to boot up, the NSM5MP3 kit is connected directly to the jukebox control center and simulates the changer unit.
The trick is that the CD player appears to be there to control the jukebox. During operation, it is not apparent that an MP3 player is there. Except when quickly selecting a track, as the hard drive player is extremely fast.
The MP3 Kit NSM5MP3 works with any 44-pin ATA/IDE 2.5" hard drive of 2GB or larger. The ideal size for a 100 CD jukebox is 20 GB. This allows you to play up to 33 songs on each CD at the high quality bit rate of 192 kBits/s.
That's an incredible 3,300 songs on a player with dimensions of 76.2 mm x 127 mm x 20.3 mm H, WxDxH weight 0.23 kg.
The NSM5MP3 player works completely independently and does not require any additional hardware or software. Installation takes just a few minutes without having to rebuild the jukebox.
Only three connections are necessary, the 4-pin audio connection to the amplifier, the 8-pin communication plug to the control unit and the ground connection.
The hard drive player is so small that it can be placed on the CD changer unit, or You remove the changer unit because it is no longer needed.
The best thing about it - no maintenance - with this MP3 kit, playback errors, wearing parts,
error messages: Error 60 and 70 or cleaning the player are a thing of the past.
No delay when changing CDs, so continuous playback of the songs is guaranteed.
The hard drive is automatically switched off after a 30 second break
The MP3 player is supplied with its own power supply and therefore requires its own socket. If this is not available, have it installed by a specialist. With the adapter supplied, songs in MP3 format can be copied into the created folders on the hard drive. The 44-pin IDE adapter also allows the use of flash cards.
